Hueneme 7, Channel Islands 0--Rashadd Cousins recovered a blocked punt in the end zone in the fourth quarter to lead Hueneme (1-1) at Channel Islands.
Running back Ronnie Jenkins rushed 24 times for 73 yards and quarterback George Jones rushed 16 times for 62 yards for Hueneme. However, the Vikings won by playing tough defense.
Channel Islands (1-1) fumbled twice, with Hueneme recovering both times. Hueneme linebacker Alchan Robbs made two sacks for losses totaling 19 yards.
Channel Islands had only 90 yards in total offense. James Perez’s 25-yard reception of a Alex Love pass in the first quarter marked the Raiders’ longest gain.
