Newbury Park 42, San Marcos 6--Senior receiver Eric Mahanke scored three touchdowns and the Panthers extended their winning streak to 16 games.
Newbury Park exploded for 28 first-half points as quarterback Justin Vint connected on 11 of 15 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
Vint finished with 186 yards, completing 12 of 22 for three touchdowns with one interception.
Brock Diediker scored the Panthers’ first two touchdowns on one-yard runs capping drives of 71 and 35 yards.
Mahanke caught eight passes for 127 yards, including scores of 26 and 35 yards. He also returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown.
Junior kicker Christine Sanford set a Newbury Park school record by converting all six of her point-after attempts.
Running back Tony Robertson of Newbury Park (2-0) led all rushers with 68 yards in 15 carries.
Newbury Park had 377 total yards and held San Marcos to 148 yards.
