Westchester 28, San Fernando 9--Westchester quarterbacks Brennan Crooks and Damion Ward teamed for 300 passing yards and four touchdowns to lead the Comets (1-1) at San Fernando.
Crooks threw scoring passes of 97 and 45 yards and Ward completed touchdown passes of 95 and 45 yards.
Westchester wide receiver Karon Conwright caught two touchdown passes of 45 yards each.
San Fernando’s Ricardo Revas gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a 25-yard field goal, set up by Angel Garcia’s fumble recovery on the Westchester four-yard line.
Westchester’s defense sacked San Fernando quarterback Keijuan Douglas four times and held the Tigers to 165 yards total offense.
Larry Ford of San Fernando (0-2) led all rushers with 77 yards in 17 carries and reserve quarterback Larry Logan scored the Tigers’ lone touchdown on a seven-yard keeper in the fourth quarter.
Westchester gained only five yards rushing.
