Beschen Advances at Lower Trenches

SAN CLEMENTE — Defending champion Shane Beschen of San Clemente had the highest score Friday and received a 10 on one ride as he advanced in the main event of the Bud Surf Tour at Lower Trestles.
Vice De La Pena of Laguna Niguel and Beschen’s brother Gavin advanced along with Mike Parsons of San Clemente, Richie Collins of Newport Beach, Todd Miller of Costa Mesa and Jeff Deffenbaugh of Huntington Beach.
