Irvine Co. Project: Villa Coronado, the first building constructed by Irvine Co.’s apartment division, is underway off Harvard Avenue in Irvine.
KTGY Group, an Irvine architect, is designing clusters of three-story Venetian-style buildings to house the 513 Villa Coronado apartments, which range in size from 700 square feet to 1,108 square feet.
The firm is also designing two other apartment projects for Irvine Apartment Communities. They are Rancho Monterey, a 436-unit complex in Tustin featuring a Monterey architectural style, and Santa Rosa, a 368-unit Mediterranean-style complex in Irvine. Both will be completed next year.
Villa Coronado is the first project by Irvine Apartment Communities Inc., a real estate investment trust created by Irvine Co. in a public stock offering last year.
