Quake Service Center Hours Cut Back

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has cut back the hours its earthquake service centers will be open on Saturdays.
The centers are now open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. They will continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Disaster assistance applications can still be filed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays by calling 1 (800) 462-9029, or 1 (800) 462-7585 for the speech and hearing impaired.
For information on the status of FEMA applications, call 1 (800) 525-0321 or 1 (800) 660-8005 for speech and hearing impaired between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The quake service centers are located in Fillmore, Hollywood, Chatsworth, Los Angeles/Crenshaw, Santa Monica/West Los Angeles, Sherman Oaks, Simi Valley, Sylmar, Valencia and Van Nuys.
