Chaminade Strikes Quickly in 21-0 Victory Over Agoura

WEST HILLS — Chaminade scored two touchdowns during a 32-second span in the fourth quarter to secure a 21-0 victory over Agoura on Friday night at Chaminade.
Chaminade was leading, 7-0, when defensive back Jon Green recovered the ball in the end zone after a bad snap on a punt play with 4 minutes 42 seconds remaining. Defensive back Brian Simmers then intercepted a pass by Eric Fitzgerald and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown.
Simmers intercepted two passes.
Chaminade running back Jason Giovannettone rushed for 85 yards in 15 carries and scored a touchdown on a six-yard run in the first quarter. The touchdown dash completed a 71-yard, 11-play drive.
Chaminade quarterback Tom Racius completed 11 of 22 passes for 133 yards. Receiver Tyler Fenwick caught five passes for 64 yards. Agoura was led by running back Tommy Kim, who rushed for 70 yards in 15 carries.
Fitzgerald completed 10 of 24 passes for 78 yards. He had three passes intercepted.
Agoura had five turnovers.
