German Tabloid Publishes Photo of Nude Prince Charles

LONDON — A German newspaper published a photograph Wednesday of Prince Charles in the nude.
Buckingham Palace was not amused.
“We think it is completely unjustifiable for anybody to suffer this sort of intrusion,” a spokesman said.
The daily tabloid Bild said the color photo was taken while Charles was vacationing at a friend’s villa in southern France.
The picture stops short of full frontal nudity only because it is very grainy, apparently made with a lens that wasn’t long enough, then blown up.
Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper said the French magazine Paris Match also will publish the photo. No British newspapers have published it so far.
