This 1990 sex-and-suspense thriller is about the divided consciousness of a woman in a man’s world: a smoky-eyed vice cop (Theresa Russell, pictured) who becomes fascinated with her own alter ego as a hooker. Despite an uninspired plot, the film, directed by Sondra Locke, does have an edge, and Russell’s performance suggests something softer and more woundable underneath (Lifetime Sunday at 6 p.m., Wednesday at 9 p.m.).
