Rosenthal as Senator Is Not Foregone Conclusion
* Thanks to Times reader M. Stephen Sheldon for exposing the Westside political machine that has been running the Valley for over two decades--leading to a loss of jobs, rising crime, an influx of illegal immigrants and falling home prices.
Unfortunately Mr. Sheldon has concluded that Westside resident Herschel Rosenthal will become our next state senator and the plundering and mismanagement of the Valley will inevitably continue. Rosenthal’s victory is not a foregone conclusion, and Valleyites should start looking at the candidates closely instead of voting a straight party line. Although mostly Democrats, the majority of Valley residents do not accept ultra-leftist Rosenthal’s philosophy. He has advocated giving free syringes to drug addicts and other misuses of public resources. The Republican candidate, Delores White, who actually lives in the Valley, has a long record of facilitating economic growth--not chasing it out of the state.
