Man Leaps to His Death at Disneyland Hotel

ANAHEIM — A man in his 70s apparently jumped to his death Friday from the ninth floor of the Bonita Tower at the Disneyland Hotel, a Disneyland spokesman said.
Authorities found two notes on the man’s body, according to John McClintock, one in Chinese and a briefer one in English, directing that a relative in Southern California be contacted by phone.
The man was staying at another part of the hotel, McClintock said, having checked in alone Thursday. He apparently plunged from a fire escape landing near a bank of elevators, landing on the roof of a first floor lobby. To get to the landing, McClintock said, the man had to climb over a railing.
Anaheim police are investigating the death.
