A 45-year-old Newbury Park pornography actress charged with sexually molesting a 14-year-old boy pleaded not guilty in Ventura County Superior Court on Friday.
Laurie Arden, charged with six felony counts of child molestation, was given a trial date of Oct. 3.
Prosecutors say Arden had sex with the boy in April and May after she hired him to help her move out of a rented room in a house on White Oak Lane in Newbury Park.
Arden allegedly showed him nude images of herself on a computer screen and in a magazine, then suggested they have sex.
A Municipal Court judge ordered Arden to stand trial in the case last month after listening to the boy recount the sexual encounters during a preliminary hearing.
The defendant is charged with two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, two counts of sexual conduct using a foreign object, one count of showing explicit photos to a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor.
The boy testified that he agreed to have sex with the woman the first time because he was “curious and confused.”
He said they had sex a second time after Arden threatened to report him to police.
Arden is being held in the Ventura County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bail.
