They Are Indeed Biting, but Only at Right Spots
Trout, catfish or largemouth bass--take your pick for the last big freshwater fishing weekend of the year.
All should be available at various sites throughout Southern California and the Eastern Sierra, but anglers will have to decide what they want because only one species is biting at a given spot.
For those who can take the heat, Irvine Lake and Corona Lake have been loaded with catfish. Eastern Sierra lakes will receive special plants of oversize Alpers trout.
