‘Bad Behaviour’

Les Blair’s 1993 film offers a comic look at a love relationship that is wearing thin around the edges and makes few demands other than asking that we settle in for the duration. While it lacks the bite of fellow Brit Mike Leigh’s films, it shares with them an ability to put strongly drawn folks on the screen. Beautifully acted by Sinead Cusack and Stephen Rea (pictured, with Saira Todd), Gerry and Ellie McAllister are an amusingly realistic married-with-two-children couple, frustrated by the patterns of their lives (Cinemax Monday at 4:35 a.m.).
