$5,000 in Fire Damage to Condo

A three-story condominium complex in Tarzana caught fire and suffered an estimated $5,000 in damage, authorities said Saturday.
City fire officials said minor earthquake damage had exposed one side of the building at 5334 Lindley Ave., allowing the flames to race up an exposed wall and making the fire more difficult to fight.
It took 25 city firefighters half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
The building was occupied when the fire broke out at about 7:43 p.m. Friday, but no one was injured, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
