How’s That Again?
It was reassuring to learn (“Travel Insider,†July 24) that Metro Rail won’t be connecting to LAX because (airport and Federal Aviation Administration officials said that) “the Green Line’s path could distract pilots with its lights, befuddle radar with electromagnetic emissions and stand in the way of low-flying aircraft in emergencies.†Quick! Will someone please inform airport officials in London, Frankfurt, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth and all those other progressive cities that they might be in danger? And to think I was blaming the taxi lobby.
