WHEELING, W. Va. — Two men have been charged with organizing teams of shoplifters who stole millions of dollars worth of medicine, beauty aids and other products in a region from Ohio to the East Coast.
Some of the items were repackaged and sold back to the stores they were stolen from, according to an indictment issued Thursday.
Robert James Dorn, 45, of Bellaire, Ohio, and David Lee Misencik, 51, of Wellsburg, W. Va., were jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond each. They each face up to 55 years in prison and $1.5 million in fines if convicted.
