Flying Together: USAir staged an elaborate show last week at the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Center for Orange County travel agents.
The cocktail party and buffet was intended to show off the airlines new arrangement with British Airways.
As announced in March, the two carriers will try to operate as if they were one airline--in some cases sharing aircraft and being listed together in travel agents’ computerized reservations systems.
So what does it mean for Orange County?
USAir’s daily Boeing 757 flight departing John Wayne Airport at 8 p.m. for Pittsburgh will connect directly with a London-bound British Airways jet.
