LONDON — Princess Diana returned Sunday night from vacation in Spain to face the possibility that her confidential medical records had been stolen and might become public.
Police confirmed that files were stolen July 22 from the office of her therapist in London.
The files are thought to contain intimate revelations of her physical and mental health during the breakdown of her marriage to Prince Charles.
They were contained in a small computer used by Roderick Lane, a clinical nutritionist who treated Diana during a reported struggle with bulimia.
