Photographers, painters and sculptors, get ready to be creative.
Thousand Oaks will sponsor an art and photography show this fall to celebrate the city’s 30th anniversary.
Members of the arts community, including art teacher Joseph A. Gatto of Los Angeles, will serve as judges for the show.
The exhibit will be loosely based on the theme “Moments to Remember.”
Artists submitting heavy sculptures or oversized paintings are asked to submit slides of their work. All other entries will be hung in October in Newbury Park’s community gallery.
The jury will award cash prizes for Best of Show and for the work that best fits the theme.
Local artists can pick up applications at City Hall, and must submit their entries by Sept. 12.
Each artist can turn in up to three works for a single $25 fee.
