THOUSAND OAKS : Tickets to Go on Sale for Civic Arts Shows

Liza Minelli, Willie Nelson, Bill Cosby, Tony Bennett and Ray Charles are among the stars who have been lined up to perform at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in the year ahead.
Tickets for a dozen of the big-name shows go on sale Monday, with prices ranging from $22 to $90.
In the first marquee show after Broadway star Bernadette Peters performs during the grand opening, blues and jazz artist Ray Charles will take the stage Oct. 30, backed up by a 40-piece orchestra.
Comedian Howie Mandell will bring his shtick to the stage Nov. 18, followed the next night by singer-songwriter Paul Anka. For a change of pace, country music guru Willie Nelson will swing into town Nov. 20.
To open December, veteran pop and country singer Anne Murray will present two shows, followed by Tony Bennett Dec. 4. Actor Bill Cosby will take the stage for two performances Dec. 18.
While agents at Avalon Attractions are still firming up dates for 1995, they have announced the following shows, for which tickets will be available starting Monday:
Michael Feinstein will sing classic, sentimental tunes on Feb. 3; Kenny Rogers will offer four performances the weekend of Feb. 17-19; Peter, Paul and Mary will hit town March 19; Liza Minelli will give five concerts the week of March 21-25, and Kenny Loggins will sing April 20. Shirley MacLaine is expected to perform May 26 and 27.
