Abbey Healthcare Group Inc.: The Costa Mesa health services and equipment company reported a profit of $3.7 million, or 28 cents a share, for the second quarter. That was a drop of 8% from earnings of $4 million, or 40 cents a share. Revenue increased 55% to $118.5 million from $76.4 million. Profit for the latest six months totaled $7.4 million, or 57 cents a share, up 6% from earnings of $7 million, or 73 cents a share, for the first half of 1993.

Six-month revenue rose 60% to $235.9 million from $147.4 million in the first six months of 1993. The company said that during the first quarter this year it reported non-recurring charges of $10.4 million related to executive severance expenses, acquisition-related costs and field organization and restructuring charges.
