Van Exel, Lakers Agree on Terms

The Lakers and Nick Van Exel reached an agreement in principle on a contract Friday, and he is expected to take a physical and sign within a few days.
Terms were not disclosed.
Van Exel was a restricted free agent after signing a one-year contract as a rookie, when he became the starting point guard and led the Lakers in minutes played.
