OXNARD : 6-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pool

A 6-year-old Oxnard boy drowned in his aunt’s pool while other children were playing nearby, authorities said Friday.
Carlos Munoz was pronounced dead at St. John’s Regional Medical Center at 3:34 p.m. Thursday, about an hour after he was found at the bottom of an 8-foot pool at his aunt’s condominium complex in the 1200 block of Miramar Walk in Oxnard, authorities said.
Ventura County Deputy Coroner Dale Zentzis, who investigated the case, said the boy apparently did not know how to swim.
