TUJUNGA : Police Suspect Link in Armed Robberies

The U.S. Postal Service and Los Angeles police are investigating the holdup of a Tujunga post office that bears similarities to several other recent armed robberies.
About $1,500 in cash and money orders was taken from the post office at 10209 Tujunga Canyon Blvd. on Wednesday, according to a police report and a Postal Service spokeswoman. The lone thief, wearing a ski mask and armed with a semiautomatic handgun, confronted two clerks on duty.
The suspect was described as a 25- to 30-year-old white man, between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing green pants, a black T-shirt beneath a white, long-sleeved shirt, and white cotton gloves, authorities said.
Investigators believe the robber may be the same man who has held up a bank, convenience store and gas station on Foothill Boulevard; a bank on Mount Gleason Boulevard, and a gas station on Sunland Boulevard--all since June, said Police Lt. Joseph Garcia.
