Siemens Wins Bangkok Streetcar Contract: Germany’s Siemens has won an order worth more than $645 million to build streetcar lines in Bangkok. The electrical engineering giant said it would build a 22-kilometer streetcar system capable of transporting 35,000 passengers per hour. The system is to open in 1997.
