An Exhibition of Japanese Cels
Original production cels from classic and popular Japanese cartoons, including the 1960s cartoon “Kimba, the White Lion,” which is raising questions for Walt Disney creators because of similarities in Disney’s current box-office hit “The Lion King,” go on view tonight at West Hollywood’s Name That Toon animation art gallery.
The 6:30-8:30 p.m. event at the Melrose Avenue gallery benefits the nonprofit group United Friends of the Children.
