Westcorp: The Irvine financial services holding company posted profit of $4.1 million, or 18 cents a share, for the second quarter, 28% higher than the $3.2 million, or 17 cents a share, reported for the comparable 1993 period. For the first six months, profit rose 29% to $8 million, or 35 cents a share, from $6.2 million, or 33 cents a share.
