Postmatch information comes very hard in the World Cup, mostly because everything is happening in about nine languages at once. The translations are stilted, or frequently merely stupid. But the award for the worst goes to the Bulgarian translator phrasing an answer by Coach Dimitar Penev about how soon his team will begin preparing for its semifinal against Italy.
“We will think about it tomorrow,” the translator said. “Right now, the players are very heavily loaded after this game.”
