Leslie’s Poolmart Reports 30% Sales Increase in June

Leslie’s Poolmart reported a sales surge in June, a critical month for the Chatsworth-based retailer of swimming pool supplies.
Preliminary figures indicate that June sales increased 30% to $25.7 million, compared to $19.7 million in the same month a year ago. For the second quarter ended June 30, sales were $65.4 million, a 19% increase over sales of $54.9 million for the same three-month period in 1993. The company, founded in 1963, has 182 stores in 27 states.
