Neiland Leads Dukes Past Wichita

Larisa Neiland was part of the winning women’s and mixed doubles teams that helped the Newport Beach Dukes beat Wichita, 26-23, in a World TeamTennis match Thursday in Kansas.
Neiland joined Zina Garrison-Jackson to beat Sandy Collins and Julie Stevens, 6-3. Neiland then joined Trevor Kronemann to defeat Stevens and T.J. Middleton, 6-3, in mixed doubles.
The Dukes also got a victory from Kelly Jones in men’s singles. He beat Buff Farrow, 6-4.
It was the second victory in two days for the Dukes, who opened the season Wednesday with 28-20 overtime victory at San Antonio.
