BEVERLY HILLS : Hazardous Waste Roundup Set for July 30
A hazardous waste roundup for Westside residents will be held July 30 at the Beverly Hills Civic Center.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. residents can dispose of such hazardous materials as paint, turpentine, pesticides, household and auto batteries and outdated prescription medicines.
The event is sponsored by Los Angeles County, in cooperation with Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood and Los Angeles. Organizers ask that no more than five gallons or 50 pounds of material be transported per vehicle. Containers should also be labeled, if possible.
