INGLEWOOD : 2 Gunmen Steal $300,000 From Guards at Racetrack

Two gunmen walked into the paddock level at Hollywood Park racetrack in Inglewood on Tuesday, handcuffed two guards filling automated teller machines and made off with two bags containing a total of $300,000, police said.
The robbers approached the armored car guards as they put money in the first of two machines about 6:40 a.m., took their guns, made them get down on the floor and handcuffed them, Inglewood Police Sgt. John Knapp said.
Access to the racetrack’s upper level was not restricted at the time of the robbery because, at that time, employees are usually at work and trainers are exercising horses, Knapp said.
