NOTEBOOK / GARY KLEIN : West Covina’s Mount, Arroyo’s MacKinnon Selected to Coach All-Star Game

The 15th annual Hall of Fame football all-star game, featuring recent high school graduates from the San Gabriel Valley, will be played July 15 at Citrus College.
The game, sponsored by the Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, features players from as far west as Glendale to as far east as Chino.
Bob Mount of West Covina will coach the East team. Don MacKinnon of Arroyo will coach the West.
Sharon Lehman, who coached Linfield Christian in Temecula to two Southern Section softball championships, has been named softball coach at Azusa Pacific.
Lehman, who graduated from Azusa Pacific in 1982, succeeds Teri Corwin, who resigned after one season.
Roddy Layton, a wide receiver for the Mt. San Antonio College football team the past two seasons, was selected as a national scholar athlete by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators.
