WORLD CUP USA ‘94: ROUND OF 16 : Spotlight : WORST SEAT IN THE HOUSE
U.S. midfielder John Harkes watched Monday’s game from the bench because of a one-game suspension accrued for receiving two yellow cards in first-round play.
“It was very hard to watch,†Harkes said. “Very frustrating. That hurt me so badly to be out. It’s part of my dream to play in the second round of the World Cup against Brazil, too, you know.â€
Harkes said he will decide in the next few days whether to take some time off with his family or serve as a television analyst on remaining World Cup games before returning to his pro team in England.
