After surviving the heat and raucous German fans at the Cotton Bowl on Monday, Dallas venue officials were bracing for the Argentines for tonight’s match against Bulgaria. But after tame crowds in three matches, Bill Stroube, Dallas venue executive director, was not expecting problems.
At least not with the fans.
But the riot fence separating the stands from the field remains an issue between organizers and Dallas police.
“Now, maybe once and for all, we can get the fence down,†Stroube told reporters. “I’ll never give up.â€
