LA PALMA : City to Hold Annual Fourth of July Race
The city will be marking Independence Day on Monday with its 16th annual July 4 Run and Walk Celebration.
The event features a five-kilometer (3.1-mile) walk or run and a 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run through city streets early Monday.
Registration will begin at 6 a.m. near the starting point on Walker Street near La Palma Avenue.
The day-of-race registration fee is $11, plus another $7 for the souvenir T-shirt.
The La Palma Kiwanis Club will sponsor a pancake breakfast near the race site from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The breakfast fee is $3 per person.
