Big Three Unite to Study Natural Gas Vehicles: U.S. auto makers are pooling resources in an attempt to cut in half the added cost of building vehicles powered by natural gas, one of the most promising alternative fuels. Chrysler Corp., Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Corp. announced the Natural Gas Vehicle Technologies Partnership, their 14th joint-research consortium since 1988.
