MALIBU : State Opens Liaison Office to Help Victims of Last Fall’s Fires

A community liaison office has been established in Malibu City Hall to help victims of last fall’s devastating firestorms.
The office, created by the state Office of Emergency Services, offers free counseling, information on fire, earthquake and mudflow prevention programs, and a computerized map center on the Malibu area.
Also available is an extensive library of emergency preparedness videos and literature addressing such topics as fire and earthquake safety, and flood and erosion control.
The Office of Emergency Services community liaison office is at 23555 Civic Center Way. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call (310) 317-4321.
