Summa Industries: The Fullerton manufacturer of proprietary equipment and engineered industrial products reported a profit of $185,000, or 12 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, up 24% from $149,000, or 15 cents a share, over the comparable period last year. Sales for the quarter ended May 31 doubled, to $4.4 million from $2.2 million. For the first nine months of the fiscal year, profit fell 3%, to $485,000, or 31 cents a share, from $501,000, or 51 cents a share, for the like three quarters a year ago. The period in 1993 included a gain of $100,000 from an accounting change. Sales increased 58%, to $10.9 million from $6.9 million.
