Sampras, Courier to Play Davis Cup

Pete Sampras and Jim Courier will play singles for the United States against the Netherlands in the Davis Cup quarterfinals July 15-17 at Rotterdam, team captain Tom Gullickson is expected to announce today.
Sampras, the world’s No. 1 player, is 3-3 in Davis Cup competition but has not played for the U.S. team in more than two years.
Courier, ranked fourth, won two matches during a 5-0 first-round victory over India in March, improving his Davis Cup record to 5-5.
Gullickson is not expected to announce his doubles team today.
Richard Krajicek, Jan Siemerink, Paul Haarhuis and Jacco Eltingh will play for the Netherlands.
