Ira (Ike) Coron was named chairman and chief executive officer of Camarillo-based California Amplifier Inc. Previously, Coron was vice president and general manager for TRW Automotive Sector at TRW Inc. California Amplifier manufactures microwave telecommunications products. Coron replaces Barry Hall, who resigned March 25. Despite increased sales, the company’s profits have been dropping. In the first nine months of 1993, California Amplifier reported a net income of $1.64 million, down 26% from net income of $2.21 million the year before.
