BRIEFLY : Charity: Fund Drive for Jewish Federation
- Share via
On Sunday, the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles celebrates its annual Super Sunday fund-raising drive, using the theme “Keeping the Lines Alive.”
Harriet Hochman, only the third woman to hold the post of general chairperson for the council’s Los Angeles fund-raising arm, will oversee more than 5,000 volunteers during the event--the organization’s largest single day of community outreach.
Event coordinator Joan Praver seeks volunteers to staff phones and assist with clerical work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at four Los Angeles locations. Westside locations are University Synagogue, 11960 Sunset Blvd., and the Jewish Community Building, 6505 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.
The phone campaign raises money for a network of social service and humanitarian projects for people in Los Angeles, Israel and around the world. To volunteer, call (818) 587-3223.
