Plan to Ease Traffic Near High School OKd
The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council unanimously approved a plan this week to help ease traffic congestion near Palos Verdes Peninsula High School on Silver Spur Road.
After complaints from residents living on nearby Basswood Avenue, city officials agreed Tuesday to construct a driveway that will line up with the avenue. The city estimates that the project will cost $800,000 and will include a sidewalk on Silver Spur Road and a new traffic signal.
Eastbound traffic on Montemalaga Drive will continue to be prohibited from turning right onto Basswood Avenue.
