Deb Prociw of The Master’s College has been selected as the NAIA’s Far West Region independents women’s player of the week.

Prociw, a sophomore guard from Kent, Wash., had 29 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals during the Lady Mustangs’ 63-49 victory over Whittier last week.

High School Basketball

Hart High center Cody Patterson has been selected player of the year in the Foothill League. Patterson, a 6-foot-6 senior, averaged 15.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for Hart (21-2, 8-0 in league play).
