1994 Prep Golf: Six Teams to Watch : Brea-Olinda

1992-93: 15-3, 10-0 in the Orange League; finished 12th in the Southern Regional.

Outlook: Last year, the Wildcats split dual matches with Sunny Hills and Esperanza but had a dismal performance in the Southern Regional--three of their six players shot 90 or above. But all except one of their top six players are returning and they are all experienced seniors. “We don’t have any shining stars, but I’ve got five solid guys and depending on the day, we can turn in some good numbers,” Lutz said. All five have been with the program for four years. Brunner and Matsuno are three-year varsity lettermen and Peterson has been the team’s top player for the past two years. Chiotti, quarterback on the football team, skipped basketball this year to concentrate on golf. Wilson showed the biggest improvement last year.
