Thanks for Generosity
On behalf of the children and families served by the Public Social Services Agency, Protective Services Division, CAAN (Child Abuse And Neglect) and the Children’s Services Auxiliary, I would like to commend the generosity and concern of the individuals, organizations and county employees who supported our holiday toy and gift program.
Each year, our organizations give toys and gifts to children who are in foster care or at risk of abuse or neglect in their own homes. This year, more than 400 social workers, foster parents and biological families “shopped” at our special toy store. Nearly 2,000 children received at least three gifts each this holiday season.
