Hide the Pitchers: AV Prevails, 30-22
LANCASTER — Eric Cole and Ryan Branch each drove in seven runs for Antelope Valley College in a 30-22 baseball victory over Oxnard Saturday.
The nonconference game featured 47 hits, 15 home runs and 10 errors. Branch had two doubles, a triple and a grand slam, and Cole collected five hits, including two homers, for Antelope Valley (4-2).
Oxnard was led by Joe Torres (four hits), Andy Wilson (three hits, including two home runs, five runs and three RBIs) and Matt Anderson (three hits, including two home runs, and five RBIs).
