SIMI VALLEY : Fire Destroys Mobile Home and Kills 4 Pets

A fire early Saturday at the Simi Country Mobile Home Park in Simi Valley destroyed a woman’s mobile home and killed two dogs and two snakes, a Ventura County Fire Department spokeswoman said.
The fire started at 1:47 a.m. in the living room of the mobile home and was contained in 25 minutes, said spokeswoman Pam Sears. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause.
The two residents escaped unharmed, Capt. Frank Huneck said.
Damage was estimated at $30,000.
