VENTURA : Bullet Removed From Woman’s Face
A Ventura woman was listed in stable condition Monday after she underwent surgery to remove a bullet from her face.
Maria Theresa Cole, 39, a resident of the Buena Vista apartments, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center on Saturday morning after police received a call from a family member reporting the shooting.
Cole was shot once in the face with a .32-caliber revolver, police said.
Police are investigating whether it was an accidental or intentional shooting. No arrests had been made, Sgt. Bob Anderson said.
